Among them:
- Environment, Health & Safety – stormwater protection, battery waste and proper disposal, and food safety. In addition, fire extinguisher demos will be held from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
- ASUCLA – safe food handling
- Transportation – scooter safety, UL certification and registration
- Office of Emergency Management – general campus emergency preparedness/training, Go Bag contents, BruinAlert
- Emergency Management Services – who to call and for what in an emergency, and First Aid Kit recommendations
- UCPD – general campus safety, scooter safety and active shooter training requests
Those interested in attending are asked to inform their managers or supervisors in advance to request paid leave time and to ensure appropriate coverage during their absence from the workplace.
Attendees will receive a raffle ticket at every booth they visit – including a station where you can earn a ticket just by following EH&S on Instagram. Prizes include meal vouchers to use in one of our dining halls (No. 1 in the nation!) or an ASUCLA dining location, gift cards, Bird scooter credits, UCLA swag and more. Winners will be announced on Instagram the following week. To claim a prize, please bring your winning ticket and BruinCard to the UCLA Environment, Health & Safety office in the Strathmore Building, located at 501 Westwood Plaza, 4th floor, during standard business hours.
